ArcFinity is a two-day narrative event for Infinity
Welcome to ARCfinity, Australia's first annual narrative Infinity event. This event is going to be very different from previous ARCfinity’s but myself and several helpers have spent a lot of time preparing this to be an excellent weekend of games, narrative, story and memories.
We hope you enjoy
- Tristan, Ryan K and Hugh W.
This is a living Player Pack and will be edited as updates and clarifications are needed.

ArcFest Basics

Play for Fun is all about bringing armies that are enjoyable to play against.
You don’t need the most powerful list—focus on what makes the game fun, engaging, and memorable for both you and your opponent.
Roll dice, tell stories, and enjoy great games where shared fun always comes first.
Challenge Your Hobby is all about bringing your painted models to the table.
Every miniature must be painted, giving you the chance to showcase your army to fellow gamers, try new techniques, and push yourself creatively.
This event celebrates both your craft and your courage to put your hobby on display for everyone to enjoy.
Create & Collect is all about the rule of cool. Bring the models, conversions, and armies that excite you the most—no limits, no pressure, just fun.
Show off your creativity, collect inspiration from others, and celebrate the ideas that make your hobby unique.
This is your space to play, craft, and enjoy the things you love most.
Play It Forward is about making new friends, enjoying a hobby we all love, and showing respect and sportsmanship to everyone at the event.
It’s about being part of a welcoming, positive community where every game is fun and every player feels included.
Each event will either score, or give awards representing these categories.
ArcFest wide Rules
Painted Miniatures: All models must be painted with a minimum of three distinct colours (This includes the base, which can be 1 of the colours). This ensures every miniature is table-ready and contributes to the visual enjoyment of the event. It’s about celebrating your hobby and showing off the creativity and effort you’ve put into your army. Everyone knows, painted models roll better dice.
All 3D-printed models must follow the ArcFest Model Policy. This ensures they meet the same standards as other models for quality, safety, and table readiness. It’s about keeping games fair, enjoyable, and consistent for everyone at the event. We also want to make sure participants are respecting our sponsors and game creators who support the entire con. Some events will have exceptions, however please review the policy for more detail.
ArcFest Model Policy (update coming)
Behaviour Policy: All attendees are expected to act respectfully and responsibly. Any inappropriate, violent, bullying, or abusive behaviour, deliberately cheating, or disregarding TO rulings will not be tolerated, and those who engage in such conduct will be asked to leave. This helps keep ArcFest a safe, fair, and welcoming environment for everyone.
AI Artwork: If the event has theme or presentation you may not use Chat GPT or gen AI to create text or artwork for your theme. You will receive no points for it, and AI artwork may not be displayed at the event. Ours is a hobby of imagination. We want to see yours.
You can read more about the rules for Infinity on the official Infinity Universe website, along with extensive background lore, army information, and updates from Corvus Belli.

Tournament Rules
-
Fully Painted Requirement. (See ArcFest Rules).
3 colours and a completed base, minimum. -
200 points / 4 SWC.
-
1 Combat Group.
-
You are allowed 2 lists.
-
48” x 48” Table Size.
-
Spec Ops (Rules and FAQ below). Spec Ops will be the Lieutenant.
-
Loss of Lieutenant will NOT be applied during this event.
-
There are 4 MegaCorp options, each one will have a Team Leader. The members of each team will never play against each other but only against other Corps.
-
You can choose which MegaCorp you wish to be a member of, this does not limit the playable sectorials you can pick from.
Scenarios
-
Due to ARCfinity being a narrative event we will not be running ITS scenarios but instead will be running fully custom missions. They will be incredibly simple (think Direct Action versions of the Direct Action missions) but they will have multiple paths you can decide to go down per mission to drive the narrative in a direction you find thematic.
-
As such you will not know missions until the round is ready to begin, however Mission 1 will be released in the coming weeks to prepare you for what to expect.
-
You and the other members of your MegaCorp will decide as a group which path you wish to choose together, which will determine your OP scoring.
-
There will be no requirements of your list aside from general specialist duties, if there are special requirements the mission will provide you with ample ability to complete it.
-
Scoring for missions will still follow the standard 5TP/10OP system of ITS
-
I encourage every player attending to do some research into their faction of choice and try to embrace the narrative options they provide.
-
The “winner” of each round will be the team with the highest average score, their choice for narrative direction will become “canon” and drive changes further into the event.
Painting Score
Players must bring models that are painted to a minimum standard of 3 colours as per the ArcFest model policy.
To encourage players we will be running a Painting award to the player who scores the highest after five rounds.
At the end of each game you will score each of your opponent's painting score out of ten. With 10 being Studio Quality, and 1 being bare minimum effort

Behaviour, Conduct and Sportsmanship
The Australian Infinity community has continued to demonstrate the highest levels of sporting conduct. We are, all of us, proud to be part of such an amazing and welcoming community.
Infinity is a game you play with your opponent as much as against them. It should always be
played in a friendly, fun and cooperative spirit. You may call over a TO if you need some
help or clarification or if you want to submit a complaint, but please try to first avoid conflict and sort out any issues out in a mutually agreeable manner with your opponent.
-
Don’t be a jerk! The Golden Rule.
-
Do not argue with the TOs. You are entitled to debate rules with us, but a ruling is final once it has been made. That’s the risk you take when calling a Judge over.
-
Share Open Information. Describe each of your Troopers (and any relevant skills / equipment) as soon as a Trooper is deployed / revealed, and anytime when asked.
-
Respect private information. Every player will hand their opponent a courtesy list after deploying their reserve model. Recreating your opponent's list in Army to determine possible Lieutenants and identify points costs of various units to circumvent private information takes away precious game time. Additionally, we recommend volunteering to walk away from the table so that your opponent can record any Hidden Deployment models without having to ask you to turn around.
-
Seek Agreement/Consensus. Confirm a shared understanding of the game-state (e.g. if Line of Fire exists) before rolling dice.
-
Practice Transparency and Accountability. Allow your opponent to see dice rolls (and measurements). You are obliged to re-roll any dice result your opponent did not witness with clarity.
-
Tolerate Honest Mistakes. Infinity is a complex game. Mistakes happen. Assume good faith and resolve them in a fair and friendly way.
-
Play By Intent. Be reasonable and err towards your opponent’s intent – especially if it is explicitly declared. Equally, do not abuse intent in an unsporting manner.
-
Avoid slow play. The more time you take to make a decision the less time your opponent has and the more pressure they are under to rush.
Spec Ops BINGO CARD
Last year the bingo card was a huge success, so we are doing it again this year 🙂
-
To add a bit of fun and to give away more prizes, each player will be given a bingo card before round 1 to complete over the weekend
-
As you complete squares on the bingo card, you can cross them off
-
Once a consecutive line (vertical, horizontal or diagonal) is complete, you will can shout “LINE” and the first person to do so each round will be given a prize
-
The player to complete the most challenges on their bingo card will win an extra prize
Link to the Arcfinity Bingo Card will be provided soon (™)

Sample Spec Ops - Fusilier Bob
Typical PanOceanian children grow up with plenty of love, affection and care under what many consider to be the greatest nation ever conceived, Robert Hale was never lucky enough to be blessed in such a way.
Born under the green skies and thick brush of Paradiso, to parents Michael and Eliza, both retired NCA military, Robert wasn’t spared from a life of grueling hard work and dedicated refinement.
From a young age he was drilled in all PanOceanian military doctrine, by the age of 12 he was an expert with many firearms, explosives and advanced tech, able to navigate the inner workings of a standard issue shock mine or drop bear with his eyes closed.
Dedicated physical training through the jungle built Robert's physique to the peak of human performance, but it wasn't enough, his parents never relented and Robert never questioned. He had been awoken many times by the screams and cries of their fearful encounter with the Umbra, something that left them permanently bruised and broken.
Somewhere close to his 16th birthday, the pressure proved to be too much. Michael and Eliza were both admitted to the very best of mental facilities, and Robert, eager for vengeance and an outlet to prove his worth, immediately enlisted in the NCA military. His family name ensured him a place, and the skills his parents had drilled into him earned him a fast track into the Bolt program.
Months passed and Robert, Bob as his friends would call him, slowly fell behind. Even after years of training, he wasn't as good a shot as the rest, he wasn’t as good a teamplayer as the rest, he didn’t understand battle tactics as well as the rest.
Dejected by his lack of talent and without a mentor to guide him, he dropped from the program. He secured a stable position as an elite Fusilier and began once again to build himself, taking on every operation he could and building an unshakable bond with his team.
Now having been contacted by his superiors for an emergency mission deep in the heart of the Bakunin mothership, Robert faces this opportunity with more muster and resolve than he has ever been able to produce.
The Human Sphere must be kept safe… and explosives and bullets are as good a way as any to keep it…..
At Arc we give prizes to not only the best players, but all kinds of players, therefore there will be many prizes given out across the weekend.
There will be a prize for
Best Sport
Best Painted
Best Spec Ops Painting
Best Table
Best Spec Ops Narrative
Best Spec Ops Bingo
Best Faction
Best Overall
Plus many more!!
Spec Ops PAINTING AWARD
For some, painting an entire army in 8 weeks can be EXHAUSTING! You will get it done, but did you have fun doing it and will the results reflect the full extent of your painting skills? To give players the opportunity to focus their skills into a single miniature to showcase at Arc, we will also be running a Spec Ops Painting Challenge which will take place at the same time as Armies On Parade on Day 1.
-
You may submit a single miniature to be judged (you may include peripherals, Tinbots as long as they are valid options and taken in the list).
-
Place the miniature next to the rest of your army for judging so it is clear which miniature is the Spec Ops being judged.
-
If your miniatures are on a display board, make it clear which is the Spec Ops being judged
Awards
FAVOURITE TABLE AWARD
